Dr. Sean Halabo
Dr. Sean Halabo was born and raised in El Cajon, just outside East County San Diego. His upbringing combined two passions: a love for helping others and an appreciation for the structure and independence of small business. Dentistry became the perfect career to merge both. After earning his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University, Dr. Halabo went on to attend Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, staying close to home and visiting family every chance he could between exams and studying.
Now with three years of clinical experience and a strong commitment to modern dental advancements, Dr. Halabo brings a deep appreciation for patient trust and long-term relationships to Smile Stop Dental. He’s certified in dental implants through the AAID, and is a proud member of the ADA and CDA. His favorite procedures - root canals, extractions, and implants - allow him to either save a severely damaged tooth or replace it with a fully functional, natural-looking alternative.
Dr. Halabo’s guiding philosophy is to provide all the care a patient needs in one location, without bouncing between providers. He knows that seeing multiple specialists can be confusing and frustrating. That’s why Smile Stop Dental is designed to offer nearly all dental services right in-house, streamlining the experience and creating lasting relationships built on consistency and trust.
Known for his kind, down-to-earth demeanor, Dr. Halabo places strong value on helping patients feel calm, informed, and cared for - especially when they’re in pain. He believes excellent communication and education are key to making dental care approachable and empowering.
Outside the office, Dr. Halabo enjoys family time with his wife Angela and their young daughter, cheering on the Padres, catching weekend games with friends, and occasionally hitting the golf course. Simple joys that help him recharge before another fulfilling week of patient care.
